When a dish gets ignored

Fix ignored dishes

Low views are a diagnosis. Fix the name, photo, category, or retire the item instead of hoping guests find it.

The signal

Illustrated decision checklist for restaurant owners
A quick visual for busy owners.Replace with a real TTMenus Insights Recommendations panel screenshot when ready.

A dish with almost no Menu item views is invisible online. Guests cannot order what they never open.

Low views are not always a bad recipe. Often it is a weak photo, a buried category, or a name nobody searches for.

Recommendation

Fix before you promote

Add a real photo, move the dish higher in Soups, and rename it for how guests ask for it. Promote only after the item page is worth opening.

Decisions to pick from

If this is trueDo this
No photo or a dark photoAdd a clear dish shot
Name is internal kitchen slangRename to the words guests use
Item sits at the bottom of a long listMove it up or into a tighter category
Nobody wants it offline eitherRemove it and simplify the menu

The takeaway

Do not boost an ignored dish until the menu page itself is clear. Fix the listing, then decide whether it deserves a promotion.
